Some users of Internet Explorer (6 and above) may encounter the following pop-up when accessing v8:

This is because EudraCT is a web-based application which uses JavaScript. Whilst users may wish (or need) to contact their own IT Service Desk before making changes to their security settings, the following options will allow users to safely access EudraCT:
Option 1:
- Click 'Click here for options...' banner and the following options appear:

- Now click the 'Always Allow Pop-ups from This Site...' option.
Option 2:
- Alternatively, in the Internet Explorer Menu Bar, click Tools>Internet Options>Security>Custom level...>then scroll down to the 'Downloads' settings, and select Enable for the Automatic Prompting for file downloads option:
- Then click 'OK'.
Option 3:
- Alternatively, try changing your IE8 security settings if they are set to Medium-High. Click Tools>Internet Options>Security>Custom level...> then scroll down to the Miscellaneous settings, and select Disable the 'Use Pop-up Blocker' option:
- Of course, if you are in any doubt, we recommend you contact your organisation's IT Service Desk in the first instance, for approved guidance on making any changes to your security settings.
